Inspired by a school play themed video, we incorporated cardboard props into a performance scenes. This evolved into including children to both make to theme more compelling and allow us to be more liberal with the props.
In post production, I added effects, using the props and composited lite brite patterns as visual anchors, to make the video more distinct.

Banner & Shomi came up w/ the concept of the industry being another world run by agents of corruption. Special glasses, an homage to the film "They Live" i suggested, could reveal those corrupted.
Treatment required me to do the following: (roto) painting in the faces of the corrupted, stylizing the other world, having agents teleport, and compositing artists on green screen into magazines and simulate an animated magazine.

In the wake of the Haiti disaster, Music for Relief offered the change to work on a project that could benefit the Haiti Relief effort. We made a video using studio footage and photos provided by directly by the UN and the American Red Cross via Creative Commons.
I came up with the idea to separate the subjects from the background in order to create a 'Ken Burns Effect'. Also, I animated certain limbs to carry out the implied actions of the subject. I desaturated the colors and added dust to reflect the despair of the situation after the earthquake.

We wanted to do a video that serves an homage to primarly Dilla, but just real hip hop in general. Fitting for a buzz single, we had Nottz walk down the street and perform his verses in one take while shooting the hook in the studio.
We added a most amount of graphics for some of the references in the lyrics as well as accentually the spinning of the records visually and adding an ending animation.

The movie 300 served as the main inspiration of this spot, from the goldenrod / desaturated color treatment to slowing down and speeding up the time of certain scenes for dramatic effect.
The fighters were shot on green screen and composited into a 3d scene modelled to convey a stylized ancient Greece. Lighting flows through their body, impacts to represent an 'untamed' nature.

This is feel good street video that also pays homage to Mr. Rogers and to a lesser extent, Home Improvement. To do this i recreated a vintage television set with neighborhood opening scene, illustrated Land of Make Believe w/ trolley and puppets, and construction style transitions.
We also shot scenes to correspond with the references. To reinforce the playful nature, I composited various graphics with the artists in certain scenes.

*This is simply experimental material using footage shot for Nina Sky's "You Ain't Got It" video. This is not reflective of the final video.
The idea was to create a duality by compositing the artist over one another view various shots. I also added a delayed color separation to trail the artists performances.
Eventually the concept for the effects change and my role became mainly advisory. You can see the final video here.

First, we shot performance scenes for the verses on the streets of DC. Luck would have it that it would snow that evening which is perfect for reflecting the colored lights.
Later, we shot the artist on green screen for the chorus. Given the title is Lightspeed, the scenes are filled with various cosmic imagery including shooting stars, planets, and forms of light. I also gave her a celestial platform to walk across for full body shots.

In less than a week, we had the task to build an entire interactive world to promote making environmentally conscious decisions in everyday life. As a team, we built 5 main areas based on 4 major cities, with interiors with music and video to interactive with as well, around the world and spaceship as the main hub overlooking it.
